Keynote speakers to attend 9th GCC Banking Conference in Bahrain
The Central Bank of Bahrain “drill” in cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Secretary General is the host of the conference, under the slogan “A new era in international banking, the practice: the implications for the countries of the GCC markets . The event took place in more than 15 years and is supported by the various countries of the Gulf in the rotation.
The conference will be in two main characters: Sir Howard Davies, director of the London School of Economics (LSE) and Martin Feldstein, a professor of economics at Harvard University and president emeritus of the National Bureau of Economics.
Sir Howard Davies, says your 1st Day of the conference will present a lecture on “The development of global financial markets.” Mr Davies was president of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the single regulator for the financial sector in the United Kingdom and was nine regulators under his leadership. It also served as vice-governor of the Bank of England from 1995-1997. In his earlier career he worked in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Ministry of Finance, as a leader and as an adviser to the finance minister.
During his career, Sir Howard Davies, and has repeatedly called for a variety of publications, especially for historical books and of The Economist, The Times, TLS and the Times Higher, among others. He has numerous conferences in the United Kingdom and abroad to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Martin Feldstein, the editor of the honor for the day 2, will present a lecture on “the intervention of the government during the financial crisis.” Previously he was President of the Council of Economic Advisers to President Reagan and the Directorate for Economic Affairs. He served as president of the American Economic Association in 2004 and 2006, President Bush has for membership in the Bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.
Dr. Feldstein is a member of the American Philosophical Society, corresponding member of the Academy in the United Kingdom, Fellow of the Econometric Society and a member of the National Association for Business Economics. He is also a member of the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Group of 30, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Gulf Bank spearheads CSR initiatives among local companies
The conference focused the importance of the definition of corporate social responsibility (CSR), standards and strategies for each company or organization.

Batelco next generation network migration complete
The proposed $ 57 million Bahrain honor, the first country to broadband at the national level.
